July 21, 2004 – Gateway Healthcare and iCentrix work to develop a Data Warehouse for Productivity Management and KPI Balanced Scorecard Reporting

Salem, NH - iCentrix Corp and Gateway Healthcare of Pawtucket, RI have begun to develop a data warehouse to be used as a Management Information System for real time reporting of Key Performance Indicator’s and Productivity Management. This new database system will be utilized across the entire agency as a strategic application for reporting and decision making. Designed to be used on Gateway Healthcare’s network infrastructure, this will get key information to the entire staff including senior management, program directors, clinicians, service coordinators, and administrators.

"As one of the larger behavioral health service providers in the New England area, Gateway Healthcare has more organization structure than many of the agencies we have worked with," says Steve Keller of iCentrix. "We added a few meetings at the front-end of the process, working with the Gateway management team to develop a reporting structure that provides the right management-level information for their organization. They were on board from the beginning and we worked together to get it right."

With an early focus on productivity management, Gateway felt this would have the most positive impact on the agency. Steve DeRosa, CIO for Gateway Healthcare and the initial driving force behind this project, understood the importance of getting information to the managers and staff. “Having access to this kind of data on demand will enable our staff to make the best decisions in support of their clients as well as working towards meeting personal goals,” says DeRosa. “This will have an immediate impact.”

Richard Leclerc, President of Gateway, felt this type of approach would be a significant step towards furthering his balanced scorecard approach. “We have been doing this type of proactive measurement for a number of years so, the value of this was never questioned.” Leclerc adds, “To have these analysis tools now available across our entire organization in real-time will put the focus on looking ahead.”
