October 13, 2004 – Community Partners and iCentrix collaborate on Management Information Reporting System to include a Data Warehouse for Balanced Scorecard Performance Indicators
Salem, NH - iCentrix Corp has completed the development of a Management Information Reporting System for Community Partners Behavioral Health and Development Services of Strafford County, Inc. Headquartered in Dover, New Hampshire, Community Partners is a non profit organization, providing a full compliment of services to more than 3,000 residents and their families, affected by psychiatric and developmental disabilities.
Working with a broad mix of staff including senior management, program directors, clinical and information technology, the team drafted a framework that would support management indicators focusing on a number of strategic business functions throughout the organization. The goal was to create a data warehouse that would support real-time, management indicator reporting as well as an easy way to enable staff to access information around their productivity and case load. With their sights on this dashboard approach, information could be made available on demand to a wide audience while tracking performance to established benchmarks.
Maggie Pritchard, COO for Community Partners, took a proactive approach, meeting with other iCentrix clients and identifying management outcomes and concerns with her internal team. “This gave us an opportunity to consider what would be best suit our organization’s and staffing needs, along with incorporating our own measures,” said Pritchard. “In addition, we met with iCentrix over the course of several meetings both prior to and during development to ensure the system developed mirrored our business rules and practices.”
Mark Guptill, Director of IT for Community Partners, was a key player in the organizations’ discovery process. Guptill was also charged with the ultimate roll out and training. “The ease of use with the web interface was key for the end user buy-in for caseload management and productivity measures.” Looking to analysis of service utilization, length of stays and financial outcomes meant IT stood in the middle of operations defining and translating for the entire development process. “The challenge was in understanding how each of the various stakeholders wanted to use the data,” says Guptill. “This needed to be pretty flexible to keep everyone satisfied.”
