The key to a successful content management system is the ease in which one is able to impact change to the web-sites content. In fact, it’s all about the content. It is how it’s stored, accessed, cataloged, categorized, indexed, found, presented, changed, deleted, added and etc.

A great strength of ICE-CMS is its ability to manage data on a "Meta data" level, where data describes other data. This allows administrators to manage complex data relations without being data experts.

Administrators can add new articles as easily as they can add new fields on a form or new search options on a pull-down. Navigation can be modified to include, exclude and sort categories. Pages, articles or products can be made to appear or disappear.

All of these features are handled through the "Meta data" definitions that are a part of the ICE-CMS framework and do not require any technical knowledge.
