Support for Dynamic Operations
One of the unique features of the ICE-CMS system is its ability to inherently support dynamic operations. Once published, a static site often requires some additional functionality to create pages on the fly based on user input or requests such as, searches, forms, surveys, questioners, etc.
Typically these features would be seen as add-ons and treated separately from the content management system. With ICE-CMS, support for dynamic operations is handled through the same process that is used to generate the stage site. This means that any dynamic operation can seamlessly become a part of the static site and would not require any additional tools or technologies.
Native support for dynamic operations is very important to system’s stability and scalability. Since ICE-CMS does not introduce any new tools or technologies for dynamic operations, system stability is never compromised with new languages or poorly written code, and system design never strays away from flexibility and scalability.
